All countries, including Iran, are faced with social unrest and damage caused by internal weakness in the domestic arena. Social unrest is a situation in which a part of society experiences instability and dissatisfaction and expresses its protest actions in various forms such as demonstrations, riots, strikes, and street riots. Since social unrest is one of the main factors of insecurity and also incitement and activation of external threats and endangers national cohesion, efforts to prevent its occurrence and recurrence are essential. Prevention requires scientific support, and one of the important functions of criminological studies and its various theorizing, including cultural criminology, is to provide preventive measures. Therefore, given the importance and necessity of the subject, the present study examines the prevention of social unrest in the light of the teachings of cultural criminology and focuses on a case analysis of the events of the fall of 1401 in Iran. The research was conducted using a descriptive-analytical method and library resources. The findings show that the solutions proposed in the cultural criminology approach can prevent social unrest in Iran in two contexts: community-based social prevention and growth-based social prevention. Community-based social prevention through the commitment of government officials, the implementation of justice and meritocracy, and the application of participatory criminal policy towards the phenomenon of non-veiling helps this, and growth-based social prevention through the passage of family-based and school-based programs helps this.
