From the perspective of cultural criminology, violent crimes are acts involving the intentional and unlawful use of physical force, either actually or as a threat, against oneself, another person, or against a group or community. These manifest in various forms such as murder, assault, kidnapping, and others, resulting in injury, death, psychological harm, etc. The growing concern today is the intensity and frequency of violence in such crimes. Thus, the aim of the present article, using analytical and descriptive methods, is to explain the role of cultural criminology in dealing with perpetrators of violent crimes.
The research findings indicate that the most significant examples of violent crimes include intentional assault and battery, murder, group fighting, stabbing, kidnapping, and destruction of property. Environmental and human characteristics, social deviations, low levels of education and cultural weakness, ethnic and tribal prejudices, bullying and belligerence, and poverty are considered some of the most important factors contributing to violent crimes
